YSL Touché Eclat Anything!!!!! | Product Review

Written by NZINGHA for TheGlamSquadFiles

I really don’t know where to begin this review. Uhhh okay, so  let’s start with a question. I think this is a great way to lay down the tracks for this post.

Sooooo, let’s say you’re a Professional Makeup Artist. And you’ve been in the entertainment and beauty business for close to 30yrs.You’ve used every brand of makeup (unknown brands to designer brands) in your makeup kit for your clients in every medium from print to film. So, what kind of makeup do you wear personally? I mean do you even wear makeup?

Answer: Well, I have to say there are days that I wear makeup and days where I just simply don’t give a rip!! But when I do wear makeup you can be rest assured I hold no punches on the beat!!! Hahahaaa!!! I have to say I have a few staples that are in my personal makeup kit and one brand I totally stand by is YSL!!! Tried and true. I know exactly what I’m gonna get with this brand and its perfection!! And honestly for me it all started with the Touché EClat Pen. Can I tell you how that pen has always given my work life on set! And yes, I then started using it for myself as well.

Honestly in the early days of YSL they really did not have my color foundation available at the time but I would wear the mascara and the lipsticks (which I loved). For me like most women the packaging is a classic and this brand is definitely a classic upscale brand that exudes style and taste. Now when I say classic I mean more mature women but how would that classic translate to millennials? Well trust me it has translated well!!!! The brand has gotten some new chemists or something and definitely have awesome package designers and product developers.

Oh and YES THEY HAVE MY COLOR NOW!!! Thanks YSL my classic beauty brand on full display.

The Makeup Show Holiday Pop-Up Shop : Review

 Written by NZINGHA for TheGlamSquadFiles

So every year for the last 4 years now I have always been in attendance at all of the Holiday Pop Up Shops that The Makeup show has presented. I guess you would say I’m a loyalist to the beauty industry. But this year was a bit different for me with this Pop Up Shop.

I’ve matured as a shopper (meaning I’m less of an impulse shopper and more of a focused and neccessity shopper with purpose and direction) I am a more seasoned shopper and a Pro MUA (not the novice or MU enthusiast). when I make a purchase guaranteed I will be using it for work on some show the next day!

So  okay I went with a plan as I usually do  to most of these shows  so I’m not aimlessly walking around dazed by all I see then winding up getting items I eally dont want or need. then they have the nerve to give you a free drink ticket (I didn’t endulge, only causes more brainless shopping!!! LOLOL!!!). So I remained sober! And was even more super sober when I finally added up my purchases at the end of the evening.

I went in with a specific budget and proudly didn’t go over it at the show. However I did reserve two big ticket items that most definintely were on my list but not in the budget at that time (but I wound up getting those items later for a special show price still being honored by the vendor).

e.l.f Haul/Product Review

Written by NZINGHA for TheGlamSquadFiles™

I love useful beauty products!! I love products that simply work and especially love affordable products that work!!! Now with that said in walks e.l.f Cosmetics. A brand that I had long penned as my go to “recession brand”. Why do I pen the brand this way?

The e.l.f brand came about during the roughest time in the midst of Americas millennial recession and still did surprisingly well. Why are they doing so well, well enough to open two new NY Boutiques? I’m no financial or marketing anaylist but I believe it’s because the brand simply delivers and its strategy seems simple…they are everywhere, even in the most unlikely stores and shops. e.l.f just delivers the goods to the general public! No fluff no puff or dancing eyelashes in a sleek commercial found on every network on your TV.

I first remembered being introduced to elf in a Target store and couldn’t believe I could get 120 eyeshadows that actually go on well for $10!!! I thought…”This is crazy! What am I doing actually buying this stuff? I mean will it really work?” The answer is an unequivocal YES!!

Well, some years and several purchases in between I actually finally made my way down to the Financial District in NY (Fulton Street & Nassau) to actually check out their boutique and boy was I pleasantly surprised!

It was a sleek moder well stocked clean boutique. With items I’d seen before and others I’d never seen before. e.l.f is truly magical and unbelievably affordable. So here’s my actual haul and review.

elf SLAYS in the portable lotion department!! NOBODY DOES IT LIKE elf!!! They’re Lotion Wipes are a staple found in my kit…why? Because

  1. No messy leaking and spilling out of product all over my kit!!
  2. Hygienically sound for multiple talent on set. Each person can have their own and easily toss away when they’re done.
  3. Environmentally friendly.
  4. Smells good and leaves the skin hydrated, moisturized and soft.

And yes I bought several dozens of each scent for the new TV show I’m currently working on. LOVE THESE!!!

I am also a big fan of their Makeup Remover Wipes, the Exfoliating Makeup Remover Wipes and the Eye Makeup Remover Wipes! All are genius for when I’m on set and need to do quick non-negotiable clean ups while on set!! As you well know you can get caught out there on set and have NO TIME to do quick changes but are always expected to do them with little correcting time on the clock WELL…these babies are my answer to that and my talents skin is NEVER IRRITATED by these products.

I can’t believe how awesome these portable palm sized kits are so good at delivering color deposit and a variety of colors that I can actually use. I use this kit for my day playing BG Actors. And most of all I just pop them in my kit without taking up all this room!!!

Oh and let me be clear about something else while we’re here…YES I use elf makeup brushes! I think they’re awesome! Here are the ones I picked up in my haul and yes I got doubles of each!!! The Giant Kabuki is great for all over body powder and shimmer powders, the flat contour feels like butter on the skin and applies and blends incredibly. The glitter applicator is genius and so is the shadow sheild!!

Well here I come to the end of my haul. Just as I was up at the register I happened to see this lil number…Lip Tint. Another one is love. Just a hint of color, not too much but just a slight blush of color. It almost has the effect of a mood lipstick but much lighter and transparent. It also leaves the lips soft and smooth.

Overall my jaunt to elf on Fulton Street was a fun experience and a great haul! You can never have enough products in you Pro Kit and with elf you get great brand items minus the financial guilt!

Makeup For Ever Ultra HD Pro Foundation

Written by NZINGHA for TheGlamSquadFiles™

Greetings Everyone 💋I know it’s been a moment since I’ve done a product review (busy Lady). I recently got an email from the Makeup For Ever Pro Program regarding them forwarding me a sampler of their latest foundation (as if I needed new foundation!! WAIT!!! YOU ALWAYS NEED NEW FOUNDATION AS A PRO MUA!!! Mostly because if you work a lot you just simply run out because your Pro Kit always needs revisions)

Anyway, sent them my mailing info and in a matter of days my package was here! I didn’t know exactly what they were going to send me nor did I make any formal requests so this was a gamble on foundation for me. And ummm that’s not something I normally do BUT because it’s coming from MUFE (aka. Makeup For Ever) I trusted their wisdom.

I am not the MUA that keeps products in their original packaging so I can’t talk to you about how the packaging works in my Pro Kit. However I do like the packaging and proportions and the actual amount of product you get.

I was sent two types of foundations:
1) Stick Foundation (Creme)
2) Liquid Foundation (Liquid)

The Invisible Ultra HD Cover Stick

The Ultra HD Liquid Foundation

Here with your gift package you are given a Press Release. It’s pretty much all there…

  1. Retailing at $43.00
  2. 40 shades with MEDIUM COVERAGE
  3. Amino Acid Coated Pigments-reflective particles that blur flaws and provide translucent, invisible coverage.
  4. Hyaluronic Spheres– hydrate and plump the skin for a longer, more comfortable wear.

Sericite– a fine grained mica that adds light reflecting properties to create a radiant and luminous effect, mimicking the vibrancy of naturally beautiful skin.

The application of the foundation was quick and easy! Lightweight feel and slightly dewy looking on the skin.

Clearly not my color foundation but the look is very much like your own skin.

On the left is shot with the foundation on and, the right photo is without any makeup at all just primer.

I first used MUFE’s Primer (The Primer comes in the Liquid Foundations box. Unfortunately there is no Primer sampler in the Stick Foundation box). Now the sample Foundation in the Deeper tone IS NOT MY COLOR AT ALL!! In fact its 2 shades darker. In my normal use of foundation I generally do tend to use a darker foundation (1 shade above), mostly because I know I’m going to use a powder of sorts and so it usually brings it closer to my natural skin tone.

This foundation feels “cool”on the skin. Not like minty cool but there is a cool feeling to the touch. It glides right on without streaks and blends very easily. Now I didn’t use a undercover color corrector or concealer so you could see just how it looks on my skin.

I used a dry brush and the application of the foundation was quick and easy! Like 123! It has a lightweight feel and slightly dewy look on the skin (which I think is very pretty and yes looks like what your natural skin would do). In the before pictures here I didn’t use any powder at all.

The finished Makeup look!

MUFE YOU WIN WITH THIS ONE!!! I wished we had these foundations some 20yrs ago!

The technology in the chemistry of makeup now is phenomenal! When HD film was first released in the late 90’s it was a disaster for a lot of Pro MUA’s who were doing film and TV work. Many had been fired from long standing jobs because their makeup was being compromised by this new high definition camera!!! Wow!!

And yes there were some Artists who needed to step up their game and blend and beat to a velvety picture perfect precision. That is a technique that you truly only develop by trial and error and by way of really doing photographed print work. And yes, you can only get that technique down by sitting under one of the OGGS©(Original Genius Glam Squads). And we developed those techniques from the OGGS© before us 90’s OGGS© (in the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s and early 80’s)!

But with the levels that photoshop has taken it can make the work of some raggedy MUA look brilliant right? BUT we all know that’s called cheating! And when you see a persons makeup up close and live in live pics that’s when you can tell (these days) who’s the real deal and who are the pretenders!! (That topic is for another post though)

My overall assessment of the latest offering from MUFE is this is definitely a MUST FOR YOUR PRO KIT!!

No compromising on this one. Honestly it’s really hard to tell where your skin ends and foundation begins!!!! It’s not letting key anything I’ve ever EVER used before!!! It’s unreal honestly. Like I’m expecting the other shoes to drop or something but it doesn’t it simply delivers what it says it’s gonna deliver!! And what I like about it is that it acts like real skin would and is indeed buildable if you’re needing more coverage for a client. 5 lipstick wands from me on this one💄💄💄💄💄!

SEPHORA Cosmetics | Review

20140930-230332.jpg

Written by NZINGHA for TheGlamSquadFiles™

You know the feeling of going into a Sephora store, it’s kind of a crazy high like when you buy a new pair of shoes. Sephora just has a great branding on beauty items. In fact it has become THE number one go to beauty shops online and in stores! Pretty impressive huh? I’d say so.

But dare I say I’d been guilty of actually being in the store and unconsciously passing by the Sephora Cosmetics brand makeup and accessories (and I LOVE ACCESSORIES) ?! I mean really who does that??? I’m sorry Sephora 💋💋💋let’s makeup okay? 💃💃💃💃because today is my day here on this post to talk about SEPHORA!!

I guess you can say this is a SEPHORA HAUL (though I’m not personally a user of that word “haul”, cause its sounds well, just weird like a fanatical fan frenzy type thingy).

Here are the items I’ll be reviewing:

1) Sephora Lip Balm

2) Sephora Glossy Gloss to Go

3) Sephora Things are Looking Up Eyelash Curler

4) Sephora First Look (disposable mascara wands)

5) Sephora Smoothing Translucent Setting Powder

6) Sephora MicroSmooth Baked Sculpting Trio (01 Light)

7) Sephora Charcoal Blotting Papers (100 sheets)

8) Sephora Sponges : The Painter (airbrush sponge), The Perfector (airbrush sponge)

9) Sephora Instant Nail Polish Remover

10) Sephora Perfection Mist Airbrush Foundation (Light, Fawn, Tan, Deep)

11) Sephora Primers ( Foundation & Ultra-Smoothing)

12) Sephora Smoothing & Brightening Concealer (Light 02 & 03,Medium 05,06 & 08)

13) Sephora Rouge Infusion ( Beige01, Magenta04, Fushia05, Coral06, Orange09)

14) Sephora Jumbo Liner 12hr Wear Waterproof ( Black, Dark Brown)

SEPHORA ROUGE INFUSION

20140930-164954.jpg

20141001-000824.jpgThese are truly lovely stay true colors that don’t move in fact they are lip stains for the lips. And can I tell you how much love the Beige 01!!! That one is a beautiful creamy nude (and its my favourite). These have a very light scent to them and they don’t bleed or settle in the fine lines in your lips.
PRICE:

SEPHORA SMOOTHING LIP BUTTER

20140930-154227.jpg I like this lip butter and I have seen it work instantly to moisten even the most extremely dry lips. It’s smells like malted chocolate and comes in this easy to open tin. The only drawback to this butter is that if you put too much it can get milky looking and get gummy in the corners of the mouth if you apply too much so a little goes a long way.
PRICE: $8

SEPHORA GLOSSY GLOSS TO GO

20140930-154239.jpgThis gloss is to me like any other gloss. Yes, it stays on long and has nice colors but truth is there’s nothing particularly special about this gloss other than its cute and portable.
PRICE: $7

SEPHORA PERFECTION MIST AIRBRUSH FOUNDATION

20140930-163037.jpgWhen I first saw this product I did the total “side eye” on this one. But let me quickly say this…I love this product!!! It’s quick application, water resistant and the colors read well on film they also blend and are buildable. It comes in a 2.5oz can…YES CAN!!

Be sure to shake up the can first for easy spraying. Yes it does have that aerosol kind of scent coming out of the can BUT the product itself is odourless. Just like an airbrush machine can give you a light to full coverage finish so can this product and the colors are totally realistic!! Love this one and it comes in 9 shades. Two more shades on the Deeper shades and this line is total perfection!!!
PRICE : $28

SEPHORA SMOOTHING & BRIGHTENING CONCEALER

20140930-225934.jpgI don’t know what to say about the concealer, contour and brow craze that’s happening all over and I certainly don’t want to add to the madness however I went and got the Sephora Brightening Concealer. And as you well know I am a big fan of Marc Jacobs’ The Remedy Concealer Pen because its just…well, GENIUS!!!

And I’m still a fan of YSL’ Touch Éclat (the original of the liquid fabulous concealers…LEGENDARY STATUS!!) but I think I might have to go on ahead and add a Bronze winner to this genre of concealer!! It’s lightweight, blends nicely and lasts all day. I mean seriously Sephora is killing it with longwear in their product line and I’m in shock that I’d not gotten into the brand sooner. BRAVO Concealer! 👏👏👏👏

e.l.f Cosmetics Eye Refresh + Mineral Face Primer | Review

20140921-203222.jpg

e.l.f Eye Refresh & Mineral Face Primer | Review
Written by NZINGHA for ZFACEINC,nyc
First let me say this for the record, the quiet giant, the recession makeup brand…DON’T SLEEP ON ELF!!!

I always get excited when I’m trying something new and I’m always excited when I feel I’ve gotten more than what I paid for. elf™ is that wonderful surprising brand! How is it that this brand has stood in the wind of designer label brands, how is it that this brand has managed to flourish build up and become a well known brand even to discriminating Pro Makeup Artists in the midst of a national recession?

The answer is simple…AFFORDABILITY and GREAT USEFUL PRODUCTS.

• EYE REFRESH

20140923-103300.jpg
Okay lets begin this review with elf’s Eye Refresh…I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PRODUCT!!!! Where have you been all my life?!??? And how have I worked for close to 30 years in the industry and not had this baby or something like it in my kit?? Probably because no one not even myself came up with the idea until now.

This metal rollerball and formula are genius! It’s great for swollen and puffy under eyes AND overall puffiness on the face just roll it over the swollen area. It’s tingly formula wakes up the skin…LITERALLY! I liken it to my current favorite concealer Remedy Concealer by Marc Jacobs (the cooling metal applicator tip). I use both refrigerated for best results. Trust me on this if thats your area of concern, its a must purchase! I recommend using both, elf Eye Refresh first then the Remedy Concealer by Marc Jacobs. The refresh will not change or harm any concealers you may choose to use. It’s simply lovely!

The cooling sensation of the rollerball brightens and refreshes the eye area to help alliviate under eye puffiness and dark circles.

Infused with key ingredients Pomegranate, Rosemary, Green Tea, Cucumber and Grape.

Awaken the skin throughout the day with this perfect portable on the spot “pick-me-up” treatment.

DIRECTIONS:
Gently roll the tip from the inner to the outer corner of the under eye area several times to dispense formula. Apply morning, night or as often as needed throughout the day under or over makeup.
Sent from my Virgin Mobile phone.

• MINERAL FACE PRIMER
20140921-201040.jpg

• Mineral Face Primer in Brightening Lavender and Tone Adjusting Green

Don’t be afraid of these two colors! And no you will not look like The Incredible Hulk by using this green primer! Hahaaa! Surprisingly when you dispense the product from the pump top (which I love to monotor your portions in using a product) the primer is a sheer lightly tinted solution with light refracting through it to give the appearance of color toning and correcting!!

It’s GENIUS!!!

It’s a pore and line filler and skin correcting toner all rolled in one! Now to me thats a useful product. Multipurpose cosmetic products are the wave of the millennials. Thanks elf for this wonderful light formula product. This primer is light yet thick enough to not be runny or too gummy in thickness, it’s the perfect consistency.

Transform your face into a flawless and smooth canvas with the Mineral Infused Face Primer. Developed to combat against excess oil, flaky dryness, enlarged pores and fine lines. This clear multipurpose skin primer will prepare your skin so makeup goes on evenly for a long lasting satin finish.

Features a new and improved air pump! For best results, you may need to pump the component several times before product dispenses.

Recommended uses:
Tone Adjusting Green is ideal for minimizing redness and correcting blotchy skin.
Brightening Lavender is ideal for uneven skin tones and to brighten dull or yellow tones.
Radiant Glow is ideal for creating a luminizing effect on dark spots and uneven skin tones.

Marc Jacobs Beauty | Review

Marc Jacobs Beauty |Review
Written by NZINGHA for ZFACEINC,nyc

Can I just tell you how much I’m loving the Marc Jacobs Beauty Collection!!! I was on a photo shoot yesterday and used the Marc Gele Foundation, conncealer and Gloss in both Heart Shaped and Over Protected. LOVED IT!!!

I love the overall packaging of the line. It’s pretty visually definable much like his clothing collection. The oval frosted bottles kinda remind me of Halston back in the 80’s…post disco chic!

My only 2 qualms (and this first one is major) about the line is the foundation color range…it excludes darker complexions! Are we still doing that exclusion thing really? It’s 2014 get with the program and consult some people of color about developing more colors. The second qualm I have is the names on the products are just too damned long!!! Like can we abbreviate some of those names?! C’mon already!!!

20140909-140318.jpgMarvelous Mousse Foundation

Price $55.00

I was shooting Kandace Springs (singer, songwriter, musician) for a beauty & hair book this past weekend. And I thought it would be great to introduce her to the brand as well. And yes, Kandace loved Marc’s line too!! I used the color “34 Beige Medium” (perfect on the spot!) I mixed the foundation with a little coconut oil for a really light dewy look.

TECHNIQUE: I mix a bit of the oil into the foundation on my mixing palette then used the BeautyBlender® to sponge it on.

Yes the coconut oil gives the foundation a light dew. If you want more of a slick dewy look baby oil gel will give a pure wet look.

20140909-142426.jpgGenius Gel Foundation
Price $48.00

Here’s Lady Kandace Springs and I after the shoot for celebrity photographer Hosea Johnson’s upcoming coffee table book

20140909-144651.jpgMy favourite concealers right now are ones that give good coverage yet feel light and are liquid yet dry to a beautiful creaseless finish. Here Marc has a concealer that has a similar feel to me as the Marvelous Mousse Foundation which are incredibly light feeling and can be sheer but give a good buildup if you want more coverage.

20140909-140348.jpgRe(Marc)able Full Cover Concealer
Price $32.00

20140909-140411.jpg

Remedy Concealer Pen
Price $39.00

A model came in the salon on Saturday and was getting her hair done, I asked her to come in my chair because I wanted to try the concealer (because her eyes were puffy as if she’d been crying).

I used the “After Curfew #7”. In all actually wound up using it as her overall foundation!!!! The color was beautiful, perfect for her complexion.
Yes ladies I used the concealer as a foundation!!!

Later on that afternoon this is what happened; I also, had one in the fridge and then used it (yes chilled) on one woman’s eyes and trust me it’s anti puffiness! Why is it anti-puffiness, because of that metal tip applicator! That applicator tip is genius!!

I love the overall constriction of the Remedy Concealer Pen. Love the metal applicator tip, the clicker base, and the mini window (to see how much of the product you have left)…smart packaging! My most favourite color in the Remedy is the baby pink “Bright Idea”…great highlighter color and great for women who have those pesky blue veins under their eyes and for darker complexions that have gray/blue darkness.

20140909-140441.jpgLust For Laquer Lip Vinyl-Sheer
Price $28.00

The Vinyl Sheer Lip Glosses are great long wearing and no running glosses. The colors I chose are obviously sheer with a slight natural tint. My favourites are Clear and Heart Shaped.

Okay my final analysis of the Marc Jacobs Beauty Collection is…I love it accept for that one element that needs immediate alterations deeper tones in the foundations.

M•A•C Cosmetics Prep + Prime Highlighter | Review

Written by NZINGHA for ZFACEINC,nyc

Where do I begin this post?…Mmmm maybe I could start with the fact that highlight is like the biggest deal now in makeup application. It’s become truly the highlight of the whole application process.

We now live in a makeup world where under eye brightening is a focus in makeup styling and, dare I say it but it appears to me that this is the “Millennial’s ” offering to an eras makeup styling.

20140902-150809.jpg
So to be sure one gets the maximum effect in highlighting in my estimation is a two step process. Best scenario a highlighter pen and a wisp of some glorious shimmery pressed pot, mineral or baked powder.

Here’s my review for M•A•C’s Prep + Prime Highlighter. Now lets be perfectly clear several companies now have highlighter pens that are also designed to act as a highlighter.

20140902-150818.jpg

20140902-150827.jpg
Here I have 3 colors, (waiting on the 4th color, Radiant Rose) I have

Light Boost
Bright Forecast
Peach Lustre

The highlighter comes in this convenient click pen dispenser. I like how you can control the liquid product within the confines of the pen and brush with a cap top to prevent leaking spills. Only one drawback to all products that have this style of packaging is that you have to twist and click a couple of rounds before the product comes gushing out!

Once the product is out it’s perfect! Love the fact that you get so much product in this small slender pen. Please note that it’s 3.6 ml or 0.12 ounces which I think is quite ample for just a highlighter. And trust me on this one, a little goes a long way!

Another note, you’ve gotta work quickly when applying this product because it tries quickly and sets in place for extended wear!! You can use it over or under your foundation. I wouldn’t attempt to build this product up too much because its kinda opaque and may not look good with another layer added ontop.

20140902-150835.jpg
My favorite of the 3 is Bright Forecast for sure! Okay now, all three have a shimmer to them and are quite lovely but the Bright Forecast to me has the most noticeable shimmer of the 3 and I simply adore this one. It’s like a pink/golden color, it’s a keeper! Only drawback in this color is it’s the in between color which means it may be too dark for lighter complexions and too light for darker complexions.

20140902-150846.jpg

I also feel like these pens colors can be versitile for use as a blusher or blush transition color. You can always add more shimmer with a shimmery powder as I’d previously suggested.

This product seems to be water resistant as well. When I last used it, it stayed on for about 10 hours without retouching and was best removed by an oil based makeup remover. Overall I do like this product again for several reasons. This one will also become a staple in my Pro Kit!

M•A•C Prep + Prime Highlighter is sold for $26.00.

M•A•C Cosmetics Pro Conceal and Correct Palettes Review

Written by NZINGHA for ZFACEINC,nyc
20140830-182817.jpg

Recently I acquired the entire Pro Conceal and Correct Palettes for a film I’m currently working on, in the colors :Light, Medium, Medium Deep and Dark.

It appears to me that all of the corrector colors (2 in each palette) at the bottom of the palettes in colors :

(Light Palette)
Pale Yellow & Pale Pink

(Medium Palette)
Mid-Yellow & Mid Peach

(Medium Deep Palette)
Rich Yellow & Burnt Coral

(Dark Palette)
Ochre & Pure Orange

The remaining colors in each palette (4 colors) appear to be the concealers or foundations. These colors are all creams and can go on sheer or more densely depending on the method you choose to apply them.

20140830-182648.jpg

These colors are rich, long wearing and give great color deposit. But most of all it doesn’t move and appears to be water resistant! My actresses will be more than happy because the look great and I’m happy because the finish is beautiful and I don’t have to do an excessive amount of retouching during last call touch ups on set! Yay!!!

20140830-182807.jpg
What I also love about this product is like the sister Lip Palette is the PACKAGING! Simple easy square shape (great for stacking in your case), 6 pots, cleartop acrylic window and magnetized closure! WINNER!!! LOVE IT SIMPLY GENIUS!!!

Okay, here below are several swatches from all four palettes. I used my fingers for these swatches. The first swipe was pretty sheer so I built up the color by dipping into the colors a bit more building up layers.

Medium Deep & Dark Palette

20140830-195051.jpg

Light & Medium Palette

20140830-202709.jpg
Here all the colors are listed on the back of each of the palettes for your easy distinguishing of colors. I think it’s a great que to take from Makeup Artists who have always organized their kits in the same way by labeling their products to fit into empty palettes.

In closing I think this is a great item to have in your Pro Kit! My only suggestion for this item would’ve been to simply have a Corrector Palette alone. The Corrector Palette would have all 8 correctors in one, because all Pro MUA’s have concealers that they like but so far the M•A•C correctors are really the star of this show!

Price of a single Pro Conceal and Corrector Palette is $40.00. http://www.maccosmetics.com/product/157/23772/Products/Face/Concealer/Studio-Conceal-and-Correct-PaletteMedium/index.tmpl
